"I, Laura (of a currently post-less blog), commit to using at minimum six pieces of stash fabric in 2013."
Yes, this is late (I made the commitment on January 18). Since then I have a finished project that ate up two pieces of fabric. Unfortunately I am trying to get an idea of how to take project photos (that and I have other life commitments), so it may be a little while before the project post pops up on the blog.
In essence, stay tuned.
Good luck with the stashbusting challenge! and thank you so much for your comment on my blog :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for reading my measly post! And so glad to have commented on such a kind and creative woman's blog!
DeleteHow'd this end up going? This is something I definitely need to work on as well, I wish I would have seen this sewalong earlier because my fabric stash is starting to take up my sewing room. ha mostly what I have trouble with is all the scraps!! You know the ones that are too big to throw away but also don't give you a ton to work with. UGH it's like a constant battle between my "waste not" self and my "organize the dang sewing room" self. haha so frustrating.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I've completed a few items (with bits and bobs still around!), but just haven't posted them. Hopefully I'll post them soon because I finally have photos (some were lost...).
DeleteThe little bits? I'm trying to get rid of those by making a tailor's ham and sausage and stuffing them with shredded fabric bits. We'll see if it works. ;)
So know what you mean about the stash taking over the room. I've filled two and a half shelves of a bookshelf with fabric, and that's not not quite half of my stash!
